In the Fall 2024 edition of the magazine, I had the pleasure of featuring Eulaine Johnson, the owner and creative behind this Nashville-based, small, woman-owned business that’s all about spreading love—one thoughtful gift at a time.

1. Tell us about your role and the services you offer.
I am the owner of a gifting company called Love Basket Express, where we offer a wide variety of custom gifts—including gift boxes, gift bags, gift trays, gift baskets, and more. Our mission is to spread love, one gift at a time.
2. How did you get started in your industry, and what inspired you to pursue this path?
I’ve always enjoyed making my family and friends feel extra special through gifting. Whenever there was a special occasion, I would go the extra mile to create something one of a kind. After attending a friend’s baby shower, I was approached by someone who asked me to make a custom gift—and the rest is history. Since 2016, we’ve proudly served Nashville and the Middle Tennessee area, creating custom gifts with care and heart.
3. What’s the most rewarding part of your work?
Knowing that something I created brings joy and happiness to the recipient is the most rewarding part of my work. I especially love the moments when I get to witness their reaction to receiving their special gift.
4. What do you enjoy doing outside of your profession?
I love spending quality time with my husband and our dog. I also enjoy attending festivals throughout the year and supporting other local small businesses.
5. What challenges have you overcome, and what have been your biggest successes?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve overcome was stepping out on faith and walking the path that God placed before me. Another was overcoming my fear of failing as a business owner. I’ve learned to turn failures into growth and use those experiences to build small, steady successes.
My biggest successes include becoming a full-time gift designer and staying committed to my vision—even through adversity.
6. What trends are you seeing in your industry that homeowners or homebuyers should be aware of?
One trend to be aware of is how emotional and personal gifting has become. Our gifts are created from the heart, and they’re known to bring tears of joy, happiness, and thankfulness. We strive to understand your needs and deliver gifts that feel meaningful.
7. How do your services support local homeowners, homebuyers, or real estate agents?
We focus on helping homeowners feel truly welcomed in their new space. Real estate agents can provide small details about the families they serve—including pets—so that we can personalize each basket to reflect everyone who is part of the home.
